Challenge leads to success
People who are operating on all cylinders know that to get to where they want to be, they need to keep challenging themselves. They know that if they aren’t a little scared they’re getting complacent. Feeling challenged and having a bit of self-doubt is an indicator that they aren’t getting boxed in.
This doesn’t just apply to business or the professional world, this applies to health, spiritual connection, and overall life experiences including relationships. Think of it like this… a bit of challenge at the gym yields great health and body results!
Mindset shift: when you feel your confidence challenged, get thrilled! You know you are on the path to greater success.
Failure is a good thing
Similar to challenge, failure means progress and an appropriate level of challenge. Nobody likes situations that don’t go well, but super successful people use failure to learn and be more successful next time.
I heard a super successful person speaking a few months ago and his advice to the audience was to get addicted to failure. Adopt this secret and you’ll achieve levels of success you can’t imagine right now!
Mindset shift: when something doesn’t go as planned, learn from it! The “failure” is a powerful gift of experience and knowledge that will lead you to greater levels of success.
Action multiplies confidence
Start doing. Sitting, watching, thinking, and planning with no action make you second guess yourself more and more!
Every little tiny step builds confidence to take another step. You feel accomplishment. You know you can do it.
This isn’t just business. Think about your life experiences and relationships. If you want more loving relationships, acting on this and showing love to someone else leads to more and more love. One healthy choice leads to feeling great and another healthy choice. Trying meditation leads to another and another.
Mindset shift: make sure your learning, strategizing, observing, reflecting, and planning time always have an action elements. For example, every plan should start with action you will take today!
Focus on a needed result outside of you. Someone or something needs you! You have a responsibility to make an impact. You no longer feel that you have a choice but to act.
Whenever I feel myself slipping under a rock I remember my mission: so many amazing people are settling for good enough. They yearn to live the full out amazing lives they’re meant to live. But they don’t know how, and feel less alive and more discontent every day. I know how to do this. It’s my responsibility to share, teach, collaborate, and inspire. I feel called. Crawling under the rock is selfish. I have a responsibility to act!
Mindset shift: when you feel your confidence challenged, think about the people, creatures, or causes that need YOU, and what will happen if you don’t act. Sure, there are others out there who may do something, but they aren’t YOU. Don’t give yourself a choice!
Get in touch with your inner self. Your soul. Do what deep down you know is right. There’s nothing more powerful than the peace that comes with doing what in your heart you know you need to do!
Following your inner truth turns vulnerability into a superpower. Being real, raw, 100% you, and really living life is one of the most exhilarating and wonderful feelings imaginable!
Mindset shift: instead of looking to others for the “right way” to handle a situation, or worrying about things like politics or position, stop. Remove yourself, even if it’s just for a minute. Catch your breath and feel what your soul tells you. Follow it. I promise it has the right answer!
I get the question all the time…
Before wrapping up, I want to answer a question you might have. It’s a question I get all the time:
“I have some ideas, but I just lack the confidence to move forward. What should I do?”
Here’s the hard truth: you are making an excuse. You are telling yourself that you don’t have something that you need to move forward. This isn’t true! You have what you need to move forward, you are letting fear paralyze you! You can continue to let this happen or you can stop this thinking right now!
Mindset shift: tell yourself that you have everything you need to move forward, you just need to take it slow and get comfortable with your new path. Take small steps every day. With every step, you will feel more and more confident. But you have to take the step. You have to quit giving yourself excuses. You need to win the mental game!
You are amazing and have unlimited possibilities. You just need to open yourself to approaching the world in a whole new way! You can do it!
